We have the highest regard and respect for our models and greatly appreciate their inspiring and amazing hard work. We currently have figure sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings, and portrait sessions on Monday evenings. The current model pay rate is $150 per 3 hour session ($50 per hour), paid at the end of each 3 hour session by Venmo, PayPal, or check. We typically hire models for 9 figure sessions, where they pose one day a week for 9 weeks (same pose for all 9 sessions). If a model can’t make all 9 sessions consecutively, we can skip one or two sessions and add one or two onto the end. For portrait sessions on Monday night, we hire models for 6 sessions.
For figure sessions, we ask models to offer the option of a standing, seated, and reclining pose, and the pose is selected at the first session. If a model cannot endure a standing (or seated pose) for 9 sessions, that’s understandable and we can accommodate their preference. Models typically pose for 20 minute intervals with 5 minute breaks and one long 15 minute break. However, we fully understand it’s a difficult job and models should take whatever pose and break intervals needed for a given pose. We typically sculpt from the nude model, but occasionally chose clothed poses, which requires some nude poses (or bikini/undergarments) in the beginning to see the form clearly and subsequently clothed sessions. We greatly appreciate models that are professional in manner, offer unique or dynamic poses, arrive and start posing on time, time their pose and break intervals, and give us as much notice as possible when sick or need to adjust their schedule due to unforeseen circumstances. We try our best to keep models happy and comfortable. Please communicate any needs or complaints with the model coordinator or any Dogtown member at the sessions you prefer. Current model coordinators are Paul (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Sunday sessions) and Destry (Saturday session).
